Sugar mice make a return

-

A popular fixture of the preChristmas calendar in Crieff is about to be held once again.

Friends of MacRosty Park’s Great Sugar Mouse Hunt gets under way from Saturday, November 30. when wee pink and white beasties will be hiding in the windows of shops and businesses around the main streets of the town.

Entry forms can be picked up from Fun Junction or the Gordon & Durward sweet shop, with participants then encouraged to find the mouse in the window of each of the shops taking part.

All anyone interested then has to do is write down the colour of the mouse found in each window against the correct name on the sheet, continuing until all the mice have been found and all colours noted.

Forms should include a name, age and telephone number. Completed forms should be posted in the special post box within Fun Junction by noon on Saturday, December 21.

The first five correct entries drawn after this date will each win a £ 20 voucher, which can be spent in any of the businesses taking part.

A spokesperson for Friends of MacRosty Park said “The

Great Sugar Mouse Hunt is a great way to get the kids out and about at the weekends, have a leisurely coffee or lunch in one of the cafes or restaurants and have a really good look at what our lovely shops in Crieff have to offer.

“Friends of MacRosty Park would like to thank Gordon & Durward, who are once again kindly sponsoring the event, and Fun Junction for their continued support.”

In addition, shops and businesses taking part in the Great Sugar Mouse Hunt are invited to take part in a free window- dressing competition.
