Music to mark end of term as P7 pupils say goodbye

-

Primary seven pupils at Blackford Primary School did their best to mark the end of the term in style last week.

Lessons had been taking place at home since March as a result of the Covid- 19 pandemic but the youngsters’ move to secondary school was celebrated in a suitably socially-distant manner in the village on Tuesday, June 30.

The children were piped from the school to Blackford Parish Church by talented musician Drew Sinclair ahead of an afternoon of fun and games – including water fights – after receiving special leavers’ hoodies.

Blackford Primary staff paid tribute to the primary sevens – as well as all the other children at the school – for their attitude during what has been a difficult time for many as a result of the coronavirus-related restrictions.

Perth and Kinross Coucil has said all pupils who are able to return to school full- time will do so from Monday, August 17, after the holidays – if the pandemic is kept sufficiently at bay.
