Traffic calming measures talks
Muthill and Tullibardine Community Council has its first meeting of the year on Tuesday next week in Muthill Village Hall from 7.30pm.
All are invited to attend and the community council welcomes the views of local residents.
Alongside councillors’ reports, the agenda this month also includes updates on the new village hall plans and feasibility study, the community action plan and road traffic priorities.
The community council had success recently with the news that Vehicle Activated Signs (VAS) designed to slow down traffic are to be installed at the three approaches to Tullibardine.
A spokesperson for Muthill and
Tullibardine Community Council said that Steven Carr, an SNP representative for PKC’s Strathallan ward, met on site with a local authority engineer to look at the specific locations of the three signs to be installed and discussed them with community councillor Katy Cepok.
The community council has a plan of suggested positions for the signs but residents still have time to challenge the locations if they feel they could be better placed.
A spokesperson for MTCC said this can be done via its Facebook page, by email or at the community council meeting on January 17.
The spokesperson said: “If it’s required, we can then arrange an onsite meeting with Cllr Carr to discuss further.
“For awareness, we need to conclude consultation and provide instruction to proceed before January 27 to PKC to allow them to progress with installation in February/March.”
MTCC’s meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at alternating venues, with the February meeting taking place on Tuesday, February 21, in Tullibardine Hall.
The spokesperson continued: “We are local volunteers who care about our area and our people.
“We aim to bring people together to make things happen.”
