Triples darts competition
Players gathered for a well-supported mixed triples darts competition in Crieff on Friday night.
The contest was held at the Royal British Legion Scotland clubrooms in Perth Road.
Ross Sinclair, Jane Orr and Fraser Deacon joined forces to take top honours.
The trio beat Jamie MacPhee, Lisa Green and Daniel Saunders in the final.
A busy weekend on the local darts scene also saw the latest meeting of the new Strathearn Youth Darts Academy take place on Sunday.
Talented Perthshire professional Chloe O’Brien (20) was the guest of honour at Auchterarder Bowling Club.
She spent time engaging with the local youngsters and brought along some of the medals she has won during her continued rise through the ranks.
Organisers described the event as a“great afternoon” as the project continues to grow.
The visit took place ahead of a fundraising tournament in aid of the new academy taking place at the same Castle Wynd venue on Saturday, March 4.
Registration for the round robin tournament is from 12.30pm on the day.
All over 18s are welcome to play.
To register, contact Auchterarder Bowling Club president Ron Anderson on 07736 391819.
More information on the youth academy itself is also available by contacting Ron.
