Free advice on energy saving

- JOHNATHON MENZIES

The next Climate Café Crieff event is due to take place early next week.

Hosted by local reuse charity Remake Scotland, the environment-themed discussion is set to be held from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Monday, March 13, at the charity’s base in Muthill Road.

The evening follows on from a successful café event in January and will feature representatives from The HEAT Project, Home Energy Scotland and Archaeo Build this time around.

The session will explore different options for home heating and home energy support which may be available to members of the local community.

A Remake spokesperson said: “We invite everyone to join us to discuss their own experiences and to ask the experts questions.

“Daniel from Archaeo Build will also be sharing the work he does on natural building techniques from both the present and past.

“This is a great opportunity to seek free and impartial advice on home energy in our community.”

The charity’s representative continued: “The purpose of Climate Café Crieff is to invite members of our community to engage in the climate conversation, to seek advice and to generate ideas for climate action.

“The previous Climate Café, in January, featured a climate reality presentation detailing recent climate events and the science behind it all.

“Here, it was mentioned that the community may benefit from a session on home energy advice to explore different options for sustainable and affordable heating.

“We are pleased to announce that we are able to deliver this at our March event.”

The session is free to attend and free teas, coffees and biscuits will be available.
