Community trust marks a decade of hard work
Anniversary gathering
Representatives of key local community organisations joined the Crieff Community Trust board at the town’s G’s Bistro to celebrate a decade of successful work by the Trust.
Last week’s gathering was held to commemorate 10 years of collective community work helping to address important issues.
Key themes included a notable focus on regeneration, improving and supporting the local economy, creating a proud, united community working together to achieve its potential and included a pledge to keep growing partnerships to do even more in the future.
Afterwards, Crieff Community Trust chair Ailsa Campbell said: “We are very grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Crieff Community Trust, including Yann and his team at G’s for the delicious meal and ensuring all had a memorable evening.
“Back in 2011, when a small group of us were meeting every two weeks trying to figure out how to go about dealing with the decline of our town centre – how to create a vision for Crieff – we were just putting one foot in front of the other, not looking ahead to 10 years down the road, but now here we are with some major successes under our belts and much more to come.”
Mrs Campbell continued: “We will continue to work, collaborate, partner with, and support other local organisations and individuals who share our ethos of making Crieff an even better place to live, work and to visit.
“We look forward to the next ten years with positivity and optimism for our town.”
The event also saw the release of the Trust’s annual report.
