North Pole post returns to Crieff this Christmas
Members of Crieff Community Trust are excited to be spreading a little early festive cheer by announcing plans for the popular Santa’s Post Office to return to Crieff this Christmas.
Officially opening on Saturday, November 25 — the same day as the town’s official Crieff Christmas lights switch-on — visitors will be welcomed by Santa’s elves to join the festivities and post a letter to the North Pole.
The post office is to be open in the afternoons and during the weekends at Crieff’s Old Town Hall, which is to be transformed using a Victorian theme.
And Santa himself is to make a special appearance on Saturday, December 9.
The first of its kind in Scotland when it initially opened in 2019, the High Street venue will be decked out like a festive wonderland and stocked with everything youngsters need to create a letter to Santa — as well as a magic post box to see letters off on their way to Lapland.
The post office will also host an ‘elf workshop’ which will include a wrapping station and Christmasthemed games for everyone to enjoy.
Ailsa Campbell of Crieff Community Trust, which is managing the project, said: “We’re delighted that Santa’s Post Office is returning to Crieff.
“More than 10,000 people visited it in 2019 and we are expecting even more this time around.
“Crieff is such a brilliant place to be in the run-up to Christmas, and we’re delighted to be planning such a magical event for locals and visitors to enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit.
Santa’s Post Office is free to attend, no tickets are required, and visitors will be encouraged to support Crieff Community Trust’s collection for Logos Youth Project and Crieff Connexions.
Food donations will also be welcomed for Crieff Connexions’ Community Larder.
