The best budget soundbar around is an affordable model from a manufacturer with high-end hi-fi pedigree. What that means is a slick design and plenty of big, booming audio for your money. That’s thanks to the dedicated subwoofer and separate stereo drivers that have been packed inside the M3, alongside an added HDMI port that’s been plonked on its backside.

Is it any good?

If you like your sound on the bassy side, then this soundbar delivers. The talky bits of movies and TV are certainly clear enough, but blockbuster effects are slightly muddled. Still, you can’t fault the M3 for room-filling presence. It’s also a good-looking bit of kit that can live under the most expensive of TVS without shame.
