TOP 3 FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS

-

1 SEE THE LIGHT

Lighting from behind allows the camera to pick up any steam that’s rising from the dish, and makes food look more appealing. Lighting from the front will make the dish look flat.

2 GET DRESSED

Even fast food joints can make their window shots look tantalising with a bit of dressing. Just a mist of water on salad or oil on veg can do wonders to make it photogenic.

3 DO THE DISHES

Go to a fancy restaurant and presentation is everything; it should be the same in your photos. Empty space on the plate is important because it creates contrast.
