MAC ATTACK MICROSOFT SURFACE BOOK 2

-

As fans of will tell you, sequels are not always a good idea. Luckily, Microsoft’s Surface Book 2 looks like anything but the of the laptop world. There are all-new 13in models with spec bumps galore, but the headline-grabber here is the 2018-bound 15in variant. On the outside it just looks like a blown-up version of its little bro, but this beast is kitted with an 8th-gen quad-core i7, while a GTX 1060 and 6GB of video RAM mean it’ll handle your Xbox Play Anywhere games without breaking into a jog. Elsewhere, there’s a redesigned hinge to reduce screen wobble when you’re in laptop mode, a better backlit keyboard, and a USB-C port – not to mention the promise of a Macbook Pro-crushing 17 hours of battery life across the board. This is not a laptop you’re going to buy for Facebook and fail videos alone – it’s a device primarily aimed at power users and on-the-go designers who’ll make the most of the Surface Pen and Surface Dial accessories. All in all, this could rival to become the ultimate king of the sequels.
