READER OF THE PACK KINDLE OASIS 2017

-

Sometimes the digital version of something is way better than the physical equivalent. Spotify is more versatile than an ipod, more fun than digging in your garden, and Alexa less demanding than any flatmate. The debate between books and e-readers is much harder to resolve – but perhaps the new Kindle Oasis will settle it once and for all. Amazon has given its flagship e-reader a bigger 7in screen and found room inside for a meatier battery, lasting up to six weeks between top-ups. And it remains just 3.4mm thick, making it a much better holiday companion than a stack of hardbacks, especially now you can read by the pool without fear of disaster thanks to IPX8 water-resistance. Don’t know how to read yet? Bring wireless headphones and you’ll be able to listen to audiobooks, as the Oasis can use Bluetooth for more than accessibility features now. Sorry, books. You lost.
