Ever since Blue Planet II aired, we’ve been thinking how great it would be to live under the sea. It’s a good time, then, for Garmin to unveil the Descent Mk1, its first wearable dive computer. Designed for divers of any standard, it uses surface GPS to mark entry and exit points into a dive log, which can then be uploaded to Garmin’s app for analysis. In addition to multiple dive modes you’ll find specific activity profiles for a variety of sports, as well as a three-axis compass, heart-rate monitor and your standard smartwatch notifications.
