SENNHEISER HD 660 S
We’ve become so fickle, marvelling at Premier League managers who last longer than our smartphones. Credit to Sennheiser, then, for sticking with its HD 650 headphones since 2003 and only now bringing in a successor. Design-wise, these cans have a lot in common with the previous model. Break them open, though, and you’ll find new transducers for delivering more natural audio. And because impedance is at a lower 150 ohms, they should be at their best with mobile devices as well as hi-fi systems. That’ll future-proof them for another decade or two. £430 / sennheiser.com
