Gaming mega-corp Razer has taken a break from giving desktop PCS more lights than Oxford Street at Christmas to unleash its first smartphone – and as you’d expect, it’s firmly focused on gamers. The imaginatively named Razer Phone uses the same adaptive display refresh tech you find in gaming monitors, only here it works both ways: the 5.7in 2K display drops all the way down to 20fps to save battery life when you’re on the Android homescreen, but cranks up to 120fps for extra-smooth gaming frame-rates.
