My home...
About Me I’m Sophie Crocket, 34, and I run Pineapple Retro, which sells original vintage homewares. I live with my partner Paul Barnes, 37, who works in IT, and our guinea pigs Ed and Dave.
My home A two-bedroom 1980s end-of-terrace with a conservatory extension in the New Forest. We bought it in October 2014.
When I bought It It was painted throughout in magnolia with very neutral carpets, dark brickwork in the conservatory, and peach and terracotta tiles in the kitchen.
And now We’ve painted the conservatory brickwork in white and brightened the rooms with favourite pieces, including my giant, purple velvet sofa. We turned the second bedroom into an office and built a studio in the garden to use as a showroom.
Style tip Mix old and new with confidence. Choose pieces that add colour, personality and humour, and don’t be afraid to use bright shades and patterns that clash – be brave! And surround yourself with pieces that make you smile.
