Put a tin can to good use and display flowers Make some drainage holes in the base of the can with a bradawl, and a hole 2cm down from the top to hang the tin. Lower the top of the tin 1cm deep into hammerite rust Metal paint (£17.99 per 750ml). turn the can upright and leave the paint to dribble down and dry.
1for another pattern, dip a clean lolly stick in the paint and swirl paint over the tin, or do a splatter pattern. Leave to dry thoroughly for 24 hours.
2put compost in the bottom of the can then plant flowers. thread an s hook into the hole in the can then hang up to display.
