About me I’m Jillian Espey, 36, and I work in the family interior design business, Alan Espey Interiors.

my home A two-bedroom terraced fisherman’s cottage in County Down, Ireland, dating from the late 1800s, which I purchased in June 2013.

When I bought It The house needed completely gutting before I could move in. At one stage, I was left with just four exterior and two internal supporting walls.

And now I’ve altered the layout so it has a better flow, and by sticking to classic colours I’ve created a stylish interior with a Scandinavian twist that maximises natural light.

Style tip The devil’s in the detail – if you get the specifications and finish right, then the whole project should be an amazing success.
