1 Place some feath­ers on the news­pa­per. Work­ing with one paint colour at a time, fol­low the lines of each feather to paint on your de­signs, adding other colours un­til you’re happy with the pat­terns. 2 Re­move the glass from the frames and coat the frame in paint. Ap­ply two or three coats as nec­es­sary, al­low­ing paint to dry be­tween coats. When the feath­ers are com­pletely dry, use a dab of glue to stick them on to paper. Pop in the frame.

Get cre­ative with dif­fer­ent paint ef­fects and colours to dec­o­rate the feath­ers and try lay­er­ing them up within the frame
