Spicy Prawn & chorizo Pasta

300g spaghetti 120g chorizo pieces 200g raw king prawns 350ml cherry tomato pasta sauce Small hand­ful pars­ley, chopped 1tsp chilli flakes, if liked

1 Cook the spaghetti ac­cord­ing to the pack in­struc­tions, then drain and set aside, keep­ing a lit­tle of the starchy cook­ing wa­ter. 2 Mean­while, fry the chorizo in a large pan un­til it be­gins to crisp – there shouldn’t be any need for ex­tra oil. Add the king prawns and fry for 1-2 mins on each side un­til cooked through. Pour over the tomato pasta sauce plus 150ml wa­ter, rins­ing out the jar with the wa­ter first. 3 Add the drained spaghetti to the pan along with a lit­tle of the cook­ing wa­ter to bind the sauce. Add half the pars­ley and toss un­til cov­ered with sauce and heated through. Serve scat­tered with ex­tra pars­ley and the chilli flakes, if you like more heat.

if you don’t like spicy food, swap the chorizo for ba­con bits and some crushed gar­lic,in­stead
