How our seasonal but sweltering two days panned out!

Tuesday, 9.30am readers Hayley, Vicky and lucy meet the Style at Home team for a day of styling with Wilko, M&S and George Home. after a quick brekkie, it’s straight into a wrapping workshop with expert Neelam.

11.30am Next, the ladies get fully immersed into decorating their trees – sifting through boxes of baubles, reams of ribbons and piles of parcels. Temperatures soar above 30 degrees, but we’re in festive spirit with Michael Bublé crooning in the background!

3pm It’s time to start photographing the ladies and their finished trees. First it’s hair and makeup and a quick dress change before their ‘lights, camera, action’ moment. everyone looks fab!

6pm We all head to the hotel for a quick recharge and to meet tomorrow’s ladies – emily, Tania, Claire and alix. Next it’s onto a nearby restaurant to enjoy a Christmassy dinner, complete with crackers and party favours!

Wednesday, 9am Hayley, Vicky and lucy head home, but today’s readers join the Style at Home team for their glitzy day of Christmas magic and decorating a tree in their own way.

10.30am Neelam shows how easy it is to adorn parcels with pleated folds (turn to page 24 to see her ideas). Then the ladies start styling their trees using Homebase, poundland, Dunelm and Wyevale Garden Centres’ tree decs.

1pm It’s yet another boiling day, but it doesn’t stop everyone getting in the mood – sipping on bubbly and nibbling on mince pies! all the trees are looking fabulously festive adorned with pretty decorations and twinkling fairy lights.

3pm When the looks are finished, the ladies get ready to stand proudly with their sparkling trees. Once again, it’s been a brilliant day and a complete success, and the overall looks are superb! Turn the page to see all of the finished trees – we hope you like them!
