LIGHTS OUT FOR FARKE

-

TWO brilliant stops from keeper Jack Butland earned Stoke a point and kept a revived Bolton from making the most of their dominance.

He was at full stretch to push a Christian Doidge effort over the bar and then denied Mark Beevers, whose header looked destined for the top corner. Stoke had their moments late in the game and Bolton keeper Ben Alnwick had to be alert to stop Oghenekaro Etebo grabbing a last-gasp winner. DERBY staged a sensational late comeback to win at Daniel Farke’s high-flying Norwich.

Trailing 3-2 with 10 minutes to go, and with a floodlight failure then delaying the game for 25 minutes, the Rams hit back.

Florian Jozefzoon levelled after the resumption and Jack Marriott fired home a dramatic winner on the 90-minute mark. The hosts were in control after goals from Ben Godfrey and

Teemu Pukki but the Rams were back on level terms by half-time with Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount on target.

Pukki added his second to make it 3-2 before all the late drama.

Farke said: “If the match had carried on we would have won. The break for the lights failure took our momentum away.’’

Norwich 3 Derby 4 MILLWALL 1 NOTTM F 0

A STUNNING overhead goal from Ryan Tunnicliffe gave Millwall back-to-back wins and piled on more pressure on Forest boss Aitor Karanka. Forest, who let a three-goal lead slip to draw at Norwich on Boxing Day, had 80 minutes to get back into the game and Joe Lolley and Matty Cash forced good saves from Lions keeper Jordan Archer.

But Forest, five games without a win, could not find a goal and Karanka looks doomed.
