Will Duchess reprise Suits role for charity?

concludes: “Buckingham Palace is a minefield for anyone going into it for the first time.

“I personally think the Royal household is far more difficult than the Royal Family. They made Diana’s life hell.

“One day Meghan will have to curtsey to Queen Kate and Meghan will have to understand that. It’s protocol.”

Burrell was being interviewed for a one-off documentary called Kate V Meghan: Princesses At War? which details the speculation that, since her marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan has fallen out with the Duchess of Cambridge and the Royal household.

Kensington Palace has continued to deny any such rift exists between the duchesses.

The programme, being shown tonight, details how the “Fab Four” – Kate, William, Meghan and Harry – were once dubbed “the future of the monarchy”.

But the film-makers suggest this is not the case any more.

Royal author Katie Nicholl tells the film: “Meghan did have an incredible six months in the media then some of the flaws started being uncovered and

some of the behind-the-scenes details were leaked out.”

It has previously been claimed that Meghan made Kate cry at a bridesmaid’s dress fitting before her fairytale wedding last year.

Then there was the so-called “tiaragate”, where Meghan reportedly demanded to wear a tiara from the Royal collection but her request was refused.

Her personal assistant also quit just six months after the wedding “due to the Duchess’s demands”.

Speculation about a royal rift increased in November when Harry and Meghan announced they would be moving away from Kensington Palace – where William and Kate also live – to the Windsor Estate.

But Nicholl believes the issue lies with William and Harry, not their wives.

“It goes back to Harry’s choice of Meghan,” she said. “William and Harry were a brilliant team, but they were also fiercely competitive.”

Kate v Meghan: Princesses at War? is on Channel 5 at 8pm tonight. MEGHAN has not closed the door on her Hollywood career – because she is still a fully paid-up member of a US actors’ union, it has been revealed.

Fellow SAG-AFTRA card-carriers say she has forked out union dues for months ahead and could appear in front of the cameras if she wished.

Bosses at hit TV show Suits would be delighted if the 37-year-old decides to stage a return.

They are ready to write Meghan a cheque for millions of dollars if she agrees to appear for a single scene on her old show.

They want the pregnant duchess to star one last time on the legal drama in a cameo role lasting less than two minutes – in return for a virtual “open cheque” for the charity of her choice.

Executives at entertainment giant NBC Universal also believe it will be possible to film the short sequence in the UK, with a storyline concocted to fit. One senior production source confirmed: “We could be done in half a day or less.”

He added: “No final figure has yet been arrived at but negotiations are likely to be opened in the very near future. I’ve heard sums ranging from two to six million being kicked around and that sounds a lot – but it would be one of the biggest marketing coups in TV history.”
