Steve Klein, coach at local junior club Pennsylvania Classics, knew when Pulisic was only six that he had the desire to succeed.
Klein recalls: “I don’t know if you’d say he was introverted but when he first came here aged six he was a bit on the quiet side.
“He was more about being focused. Even at a young age he was focused on wanting to make it as a soccer player, which is unusual for a kid. But once you because I’m a Liverpool lad and a Liverpool fan but I know the rest of the players want to win things as much as I do.
“I’m sure the manager will look to put a strong team out to give us the best chance of going through.
“We want to win every competition. That’s how big clubs think.”
