EMERY: WE’LL ATTACK CITY

-

KManchester City’s Belgian midfielder is being monitored on a game-by-game basis after suffering serious injuries to both knees this season. And he confesses that there are days when his body struggles to cope with the demands of the Premier League.

De Bruyne, 27, insists he is completely over the knee problems, saying: “I am doing well. I am happy to be fit. It’s been a long six months for me but I’m happy that now I can play football.

“Sometimes I feel good, sometimes I feel a little bit worse or I need a day more to recover.

“But I try every day to be at the best level I can be and sometimes people have to give me a little bit of slack after the amount of time I have been away.

“I always want to be better but sometimes my body just says ‘no’ and I have to take that in my stride.

“I don’t feel anything in my knee now. But we play so many games that sometimes I feel better and UNAI EMERY has promised Arsenal won’t park the bus at Manchester City today.

City have lost four times in the league this term – each time at the hands of opponents who were content to sit back, shut-up shop – and then strike on the counter. The most recent of those shock reverses came last Tuesday when the Premier League holders crashed 2-1 at Newcastle. But Emery said: “It is about trying to impose our own style on City.”
