MY TV LIFE

Natalie Burn

-

Ukrainian-american film star Natalie has appeared in The Expendables 3, Downhill and Mechanic: Resurrection

What was your first TV memory?

It was Eastenders. I was born in the Ukraine but my earliest TV memory was seeing the Mitchell brothers when we moved to London. I was 11. I can’t believe it’s still on! Friends was another early favourite.

Who was your first TV crush?

Joeytribbiani in Friends. Matt Leblanc was always funny and seemed such fun. I had a huge crush on Matthew Perry who played Chandler too and when I moved to

Los Angeles we became friends but he’s very serious in real life.

What was your first TV appearance?

My firsttv show was anamerican sitcom called No Actor Parking, but it never got further than the pilot episode. It was a mockumentary, a bit likethe Office meets Entourage.

What is your favourite current show?

Ozark. I love that. It’s a crime drama about a guy who has to move his family from Chicago to the Ozarks when his moneylaundering scheme goes wrong. I loved Breaking Bad too and I’m just catching up with the latest season of The Walking Dead.

Which TV show would you take to a desert island?

Game Of Thrones because I haven’t watched all of it, and if I were on an island I’d be able to make that investment of time to watch it from the start. If I could, I’d take Stranger Things too.

What TV show would you like to put out of its misery?

I’m not a huge fan of reality shows like Keeping Up With The Kardashians. It drags society down. I’d rather watch something smarter.

Guiltiest TV pleasure?

The Mandalorian on Amprime. People might be surprised I watch this because I’m not a huge sci-fi fan but it’s really good, and different.

What are you up to at the moment?

I’m in lockdown like you so life is on hold. But I’m promoting my movie Acceleration – I play a female getaway driver – and I have a few projects that I’m writing. My next film is called Barracuda, I’m producing that as well as acting in it.

● Acceleration, starring Natalie alongside Dolph Lundgren and Sean Patrick Flanery, is available on Netflix and DVD.
