Will Villanelle finally get the Eve-oh tonight?

- By Michael Booker

WILL tonight see the last waltz for Villanelle and Eve?

As our exclusive picture shows, the pair get close for a slow dance in the tense, final episode that will see two characters killed off in traditionally shocking style.

But viewers who have resisted the temptation to download the show before tonight’s BBC One screening will have to wait to see whether Russian killer Villanelle, played by Jodie Comer, and ex-spook Eve, played by US star Sandra Oh, are among the bodycount.

Series two finished on a cliffhanger that sawvillanelle leave Eve for dead in Rome after shooting her in the back.

Viewers saw Eve nursing her wounds – and pride – in early episodes of series three which has centred onvillanelle’s attempt to leave behind her life as an assassin working for mysterious organisation “Thetwelve”.

Events over the course of this series have brought the pair closer together with tonight being key to deciding their futures – either together or apart.

Writer Suzanne Heathcote said: “This season was about them acknowledging where they’re at and who they are as a result of everything that’s been.”

This series has seenvillanelle briefly get married and Eve’s husband narrowly survive a pitchfork to the throat delivered byvillanelle’s mentor Dascha, played by Harriet Walter.

A fourth series has already been commissioned by BBC America which screens the show before it is seen here.
