Death-fall tourist kills man below
TWO men died after a British holidaymaker plunged from the seventh floor of a hotel on to a Spaniard who was drinking on the terrace below.
The Briton, in his 50s, was on holiday with his family at the five-star Melia Don Pepe Hotel in Marbella when the tragedy happened at 1.45am yesterday.
Both he and the 43-yearold Spaniard he fell on died instantly.
Police are trying to establish if the British tourist jumped or fell by accident.
The Spanish national was believed to have been living locally.
A spokesman for the National Police in Malaga said: “I can confirm two men have died at a hotel in Marbella after one plunged from the seventhfloor and landed on top of another.
“We are investigating.”
A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of assisting or encouraging suicide after a 19-year-old died at a hotel.
His body was found with a 46-year-old woman who was seriously injured. Last night she was in a stable condition in hospital.
Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident at Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Clayton-le-moors, Lancs, on Thursday.
They added: “A postmortem has been carried out but the cause of death remains unascertained.”
