Harry ‘ready for royal reunion’ come summer

- From Mike Parker IN LOS ANGELES

THE Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “ready, willing and able” to return to Britain with their two young children this summer in a show of family unity for King Charles, it was claimed yesterday.

Prince Harry and Meghan have cleared their schedules in the hope his cancerstricken father will extend them an “olive branch” invitation to stay at Balmoral, a well-placed Hollywood source claims.

The monarch, 75, is said to be especially keen to get to know his American-based grandchildren Prince Archie, who turns five next month, and Princess Lilibet, who he has met only once in person and will turn three in June.

Harry is also due to celebrate his 40th birthday in September.

The entertainment executive, who is close to him and Meghan, declared: “They are looking at this summer as a pivot point to restore relations with King Charles.

“They are ready, willing and able to fly to Balmoral should the invitation come – and they genuinely hope it does.

“As well as supporting the King in his battle to beat cancer, they’re as anxious as he is that their children spend quality time with their grandfather.” However, royal

experts have stressed that the feud between Prince William, whose wife Kate is also battling cancer, and his brother Harry is unlikely to subside any time soon.

A source said: “It is no surprise the King wants to extend an olive branch to his youngest son after all he has been through recently with his ill health.

“Healing the rift between his sons may take longer, but for Charles it is natural to want to see Harry this summer and also to want to spend time with his grandchildren.”

The Sussexes were filmed at a polo match in the US on Friday by a Netflix camera crew for an upcoming series, which Harry will present.

Meghan’s latest project for the streaming giant is a cookery and lifestyle series that will tie in with her soon-to-be-launched American Riviera Orchard website. The

couple’s two new as-yet-unnamed solo series are likely to air later this year.

Progress with the projects has fuelled speculation that their £80million, five-year Netflix deal, which ends next year, is likely to be renewed.

Our Hollywood source said: “The two new shows suggest Netflix still regards them highly and the industry buzz is that they will secure a new contract.

“However, it is unlikely to be for such an enormous amount of money.”
