The bar boys are back! Ted and Woody say Cheers to star pals
TED DANSON andwoody Harrelson have reunited to host a new podcast about classic sitcom Cheers.
Set in a Boston bar, it ran for 11 seasons from 1982 and also made stars out of actors such as Shelley Long, Kirstie Alley and Kelsey Grammer.
Now Danson and Harrelson, who played Cheers owner Sam Malone and bartenderwoody Boyd, are presentingwhere Everybody Knowsyour Name, which starts on June 12.
It will feature guests including Jane Fonda, Blue Velvet star Laura Dern and Frozen’s Kristen Bell.
Three Men and a Baby star Danson, 76, said: “Though I’ve always dreaded small talk at a cocktail party, I’ve found that it is a genuine privilege to sit down with someone for a deep, uninterrupted conversation – and with this podcast we’ll do just that.that I get to do it withwoody, my dear friend of many decades, is the cherry on top of the sundae.
“Each week, we’ll reflect on our own friendship and careers, and get to the core of the special guests who join us. I can’t wait for you to listen.”
Natural Born Killers star Harrelson, 62, added: “The best part about doing this is it’s given me an excuse to hang out withted. Sure, we’ll talk with interesting guests, but the biggest win will be rekindling our romance – I mean friendship!”
