The X Factor is back... and Cheryl is moved to tears
HANKIES at the ready...The X Factor is back on TV tonight and so are the tears and the tantrums.
For returning judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, the first show of the new series is especially sentimental.
The star is overcome when a blast from the past returns and performs a heart-rending audition.
Amy Connolly, 25, reached the judges’ houses stage in the series back in 2008 but never made the live shows.

They include “Jedward’’ style sister act Blonde Electric, hairdresser Jale Antor, 42, who dresses up as Cheryl, sales assistant Steve Callegari, 52, keyboard player and plasterer Shayden Willis, 39, and Angelina Robinson whose mum brings a Chinese food feast for the panel.
Meanwhile the judges are bickering behind the scenes.
At a press conference this week, Cheryl caused a stir by demanding to have Cowell’s luxury dressing room – which includes a bath tub. Cowell responded: “I paid for mine to be nice. You can’t have it. Maybe just use the bath. I’m not giving it up.”
The music supremo said the former Mrs Cole was fast becoming “a princess” and “Miss Bossy Boots”. Just what the show needs, viewers might
