a very high price for scottish sterling
I THOUGHT Alistair Darling did better in the Yes/No debate than he’s been credited with but he did miss one sitter. Alex Salmond said again that he wants an independent Scotland to keep the pound, with sterling controlled by the Bank of England.
Which means that Scotland could wake up one fine day to find itself in the Bank of England’s thrall, and with absolutely zero representation at Westminster.
Funny kind of independence.
