Cracker Kev’s clincher
Switzerland 1 Belgium 2 By Peter Edwards
MANCHESTER CITY winger Kevin De Bruyne scored a stunning 83rd-minute winner as Belgium warmed up for Euro 2016 by beating Switzerland in Geneva.
He made space just outside the penalty area before blasting the ball into the top corner to complete a comeback win for Marc Wilmots’ side, one of the favourites for next month’s competition in France.
The Swiss had gone ahead against the run of play through Blerim Dzemaili after 31 minutes, but Everton striker Romelu Lukaku levelled with a poacher’s goal from close range two minutes later.
Liverpool’s Divock Origi might have given Belgium a two-goal winning margin but Yann Sommer produced a fine save to deny him.
