A deaf cat called

Achilles successful­ly predicted the winner of the opening game of the World Cup between Russia and Saudia Arabia. The white puss, who is reputed to have psychic powers, is part of the team that mouses for St Petersburg’s Hermitage Museum. He is said to have accurately predicted the winners during the 2017 Confederat­ions Cup.

A new exhibition celebratin­g the life of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo opened at the V&A in London. Making Her Self Up features Kahlo’s clothes, makeup and jewellery, and explores how she turned selfpresen­tation into a fine art. Kahlo, who contracted polio aged six and as a schoolgirl was badly injured in an accident, died in 1954.

Advertisin­g giant WPP’s shareholde­rs approved former chief executive Sir Martin Sorrell’s payout of almost £20 million over the next four years at the company’s AGM. The tycoon stepped down as chief executive earlier this year after it emerged he was under investigat­ion over allegation­s of personal misconduct.
