Holyrood bad, austerity good
IT could well be true, as Martin Redfern claims (Letters, June 10), that many Yes voters don’t accept austerity as a price worth paying for independence.
However, astonishing as it may be to him, many, many more don’t accept austerity as a price worth paying for UK membership. I can only assume that Redfern’s apparent contentment with the austerity of the last decade (and counting) is due to the fact it has been imposed by Westminster. A case of British austerity good, Holyrood austerity bad.
