Vacation was Grand but I’m ready to rock

Graham and Brittany at Canyon

I’ve been on vacation all week and celebrating my birthday was the perfect end to the trip.

I turned 29 yesterday and my wife Brittany took me out to Sedona, Arizona, to spend some time together.

We have been doing a lot of hiking and we walked up to Cathedral Rock where we saw some amazing sights.

We then went up to a big tourist attraction called Devil’s Bridge and the hike took over three hours.

All that walking will be good for fitness but it has been a draining week with the kids.

It’s nice having some time with my family before I’m back with the Panthers for training.

At the start of the week we were in Pensacola and the weather was fairly nice so we spent a lot of time playing in the backyard with the boys.

There was a hunt for l izards but sport is never far from our thoughts and we had a kickabout with the soccer ball.

That worked up quite a sweat but we cooled down by taking in some ice hockey.

The owner gave me 10 f ree t ickets to the Pensacola Ice Flyers’ last game of the season.

And the Flyers put on quite a performance as they romped it 7-1.

On Thursday we made a two-hour drive to the Grand Canyon and spent the entire day sightseeing.

We took a ton of photos and videos as it’s something special.

As we walked around it was wild to see the animals so close to the walkways, many times we were only a few feet away from deer and elk.

The vacation has been a lot of fun but we are excited to be back home and I’m looking forward to training with the team again.

I found some time to workout at the hotel gym which was nice.
