Leading Tory in sex text claims

-

Married Tory minister Stephen Crabb is accused of sending sex messages to a woman half his age, saying he wanted to kiss her “everywhere”.

The Inverness-born MP, who dropped out of the party leadership race last week, had stood on a platform of family values.

But the 43-year-old dad of two sent messages to the woman on Whatsapp, telling her in a late-night exchange that he wanted to kiss her “everywhere”.

The Work and Pensions Secretary also told the woman “the public can’t expect MPs to be angels” and “most MPs are risk takers”.

He said: “Usually in the areas of money, sex, political opportunism. Add in the adrenaline, the attention you get, and the time away from family…toxic mix.”

Crabb, who has been married for 20 years, is said to have met the woman several years ago through his political work and became close to her after messaging her through WhatsApp.

He is also said to have described a sex act he wanted to perform, prompting the woman to ask him what he was going to do about his “downstair situation”.

He declined to comment yesterday except to defend his comments about politicians taking risks.

Crabb was brought up on a council estate in Wales.

When he was just eight, his mum left his violent dad and they moved in with her parents in Greenock.

The family eventually returned to Pembrokeshire and Crabb said the hardships of his childhood had informed his politics.

Scottish Tory leader Ruth Davidson said in January she would “find it very hard to vote for anyone else” if he entered a leadership race.

But on Wednesday he withdrew from the contest and backed frontrunner Theresa May.
