Brother Murderer sent selfie

-

Jaber Bouhlel Bastille Day killer Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel sent a selfie to his family just hours before carrying out the Nice atrocity.

The delivery driver posed with friends in the French resort before launching the killing spree which left 84 dead and dozens more fighting for their lives.

Bouhlel, 31, was said to have suffered from severe psychotic attacks.

He sent the snap home to his brother in Tunisia at 4pm on Thursday and promised him that everything in his life was “normal.”

Jaber Bouhlel, 19, last night told how his older brother sent the image after a seemingly cheerful conversation in which they spoke about family life in his Tunisian home village.

Little did the teenager know, that hours later his brother would climb into a 19 tonne lorry and plough through crowds of pedestrians.

Speaking at the family home in Msaken, Tunisia, Jaber said: “The last time I spoke to my brother was just two days ago. I gave him a call and we had a normal conversation.

“He sent me a selfie from that night. He sent it at 4pm and he told me he was happy and that everything in his life was normal.”

Jaber said: “Later when we heard about what was happening in Nice we started to try and send him messages asking if he was alright. We heard nothing back.

“His family here were sending him messages until two in the morning but there was no reply.”

Msaken is just 12 miles from the once-popular coastal resort of Sousse, where Tunisian ISI gunman Seifeddine Rezgui massacred 38 holidaymakers in June 2015.
