Street star Girls are sweet on me too
Actress Rhea Bailey has recruited an army of female fans since joining Corrie as a lesbian soldier.
Rhea, 33, who plays scheming Caz Hammond, said: “I’ve definitely been hit on by a lot more girls than usual. The last time was at a funeral a few weeks ago.
“I was like, ‘ Is this really appropriate?’ But she was very sweet and attractive.”
Another female fan wanted a photo with Rhea at a really awkward moment.
She laughed: “I’d just finished my workout in the gym and was completely naked in the changing room. And this woman went, ‘Oh my God, can I get a selfie?’
“I asked her if she could wait until I had some clothes on. I’ve never felt so vulnerable in my life.”
It sounds like Rhea’s lady admirers may have to get used to disappointment. She said: “You can fall in love with anyone, but my track record so far is I’ve only been in love with boys.
“I don’t exactly look attractive on the show. Caz is under- confident and slouches.
“But if I’m trying to impress a boy I’ ll sit up straight and stick my boobs out.”
Rhea says she’s looking forward to some dramatic storylines on the soap –and the arrival of a sixth weekly episode next year.
She said: “I don’t think anyone wants to work on a Saturday because people have families. But a sixth episode means everyone will get more airtime and more storylines. It’s a win-win.”
