TV Chris’s marriage is made in Evans

-

Chris Evans’s wife is helping him battle his demons as tries to get over his failure as host of Top Gear – and aims for a TV comeback.

Sports psychology expert Natasha Shishmanian is using her skills to help him through the “ment a l torture” of recent months.

The star’s torment has included Top Gear, being at the centre of a police probe over historic sex abuse claims, worries over illness and losing his Radio 2 listeners in droves.

Now a pal has revealed he has turned to “pi l lar of strength”, his third wife Natasha, 36, who advises golfers on the mental side of the game.

The source added: “By his own admission Chris has gone through a total nightmare these past months and Natasha has helped him cope.”

TV bosses are keen to let Evans, 50, know he is still part of the BBC family and they hope to develop new ideas with him.

He was in talks about developing a peak- time Saturday night fami ly entertainment show before he joined Top Gear.

But the project was put on hold while he worked on the car programme – where he reportedly clashed with cohost Matt LeBlanc and the rest of the team.

Now BBC bosses want to revive the idea.

The source added: “Natasha thinks the best way Chris can recover is by spending time with his family and recharging his batteries.” I am not a golfer but I know what makes a good golf course. The course on Harris at Scarista had previously made the book. But this one also deserves a mention. The book is aimed at people who want to go somewhere for their own reason and I try to think about what they might be. This is about having a nice game of golf in a nice place.
