Lee so sorry as super Souley strikes out

-

Lee Clark last night admitted he felt sorry for Souleymane Coulibaly after his long- range wonder goal was buried by Celtic’s six-goal avalanche.

And the Kilmarnock boss confessed it was men against boys as his side slipped another place in the table to 10th.

He said: “Poor Souleymane, his goal was out of this world but everyone will forget it now after this game.

“We knew how tough it was beforehand. We did quite well with the game plan in the first 35 minutes but then they stepped it up a level after that.

“We got blown away in the second half. It was men against boys in every aspect. We came up against a class act.

“We could’ve done better, I’m not saying we couldn’t have done more. But we have to take into consideration the quality of the opposition, the movement and the speed Brendan Rodgers has them playing at.

“Celtic just went to a new level and we just dropped off dramatically. They were so far ahead of us.” Coulibaly admitted he felt mixed emotions after the game.

The 21-year- old striker from the Ivory Coast shrugged: “I know I can do this in every game but today the result was really disappointing.

“I always have the confidence to try anything out on the park. “For me life is about possibilities. “Was it the best goal of my career? You can say that now but you never know. There are more games and more goals to come.”
