But getting in the ring with some of wrestling’s biggest names isn’t what’s got the Israeli-born Scot shaking in his tightly-laced boots.

He’s more worried about how he’ll cope leaving home for the first time.

The self-confessed mummy’s boy, 23, said: “I’m really nervous. This time last week all that mattered was paying my phone contract, my Xbox Live and leaving digs on the kitchen table for my mum.

“Now I’m getting calls from real estate agents in the States arranging my apartment for me. But this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Noam was born in Tel Aviv and moved to Ayr with his mum Alison and dad Michael when he was five.

He is best friends with Scots wrest l ing cult hero Grado and ex-WWE superstar Drew Galloway, who is also from Ayr.

Unl ike most other hulking wrestlers, former Belmont Academy pupil Noam is 5ft 8in and 12st 2lb and will star in the cruiserweight division. He fell in love with wrestling 10 years ago after seeing Galloway fight a teacher in a charity match at his school.

A few years later, he got his chance with Insane Championship Wrestling, the Scottish promotion run by Mark Dallas from Glasgow.

Now Noam wi l l be based in Orlando and be beamed on to TV screens live around the globe on US show Monday Night Raw.

He added: “I just want to make everyone proud.”
