SHE’D LIKE TO BE A MUM FOR FOURTH TIME AT 45

-

The Tory peer and former bra tycoon, who split from Barbadosbased golfer Stefan Soroka this month, says she is looking for a partner closer to home. But she’s unlikely to f ind him among her fellow peers – because they are either married or too old. Michelle is a mum of three but admits she missed out on quality time with them during their childhoods because she was so busy with her businesses. And the 45-year-old Glasgow-born businesswoman is open to the possibility of having another child. She said: “If that happens, it happens. But first of all I need to find a man so that I can get pregnant. I’ve no idea if that’s going to happen. “I’ve got three amazing kids and it’s not top of my agenda. “I’m not wanting a baby right now but if a guy comes along and he really wants a baby, I think it needs to be a joint decision. “When I was ggrowingg Ultimo (her underwear f irm), I would go to Australia to launch there andan then go to America and I was alwaysalway going back and forth and unfortunatelyunfortu I did miss out on some real quality time with the kids. “That was just the way it was and I think now, having made my fortune, I could taketak time out to do it properly thisthi time. But I was 45 last weekwee so it depends.” Michelle had bbounced back f rom a messy divorce to find lovelo with golf pro SorokaSoro last year. But the distanced between them caused prproblems. MichelleMichel – who t h i s we e k launchlaunches new business venturventure Social SupeSuperstore with F1 legend Nigel Mansell – said: “Since I’ve sold Ultimo, I’ve been offered so many new things.

“I’m doing a world speaking tour, I’m mentoring, I’ve got jewellery collections on QVC and now this Social Superstore venture.

“I just can’t be making the trips out there to Barbados any more. It was just fair to be honest with him.

“It’s just one of those things. We just spoke and I said, ‘ I can’t do the amount of trips.’

“I think Stefan would have come to London to keep it going but his career is out there. It would be really difficult for him to start a new career over here.”

Michelle added: “I don’t think there will be any potential romance in the House of Lords. Most of them are married or maybe just a wee bit too old for me.

“I’m not desperately looking. I do think guys probably are scared to approach me.

“I don’t know why because I’m completely different outside business and I’m actually quite shy.”

Michelle is now throwing herself into the Social Superstore venture. She said: “To explain it in a really easy way, I would say that Social Superstore is the modern Avon.

“When I was young, I used to chap on my neighbours’ doors, my friends’ doors and sell them Avon and get commission for it.

“With Social Superstore you build your own online store, you share and you earn. We’ve signed up thousands of companies who’ve agreed to pay commission.

“We’ve some of the big names l i ke Marks & Spencer’s and Selfridges.” Michelle has caused controversy in the past with her pro-Union views and her decision to accept a Tory peerage and appointment as small business “tsar” from David Cameron.

She dismisses suggestions that her report on the small business sector will be shelved now that Theresa May has taken over at No10.

She said: “I’ve met Theresa May and I think she’s a good woman and will be good for the country.

“The House of Lords only really started up again this week and I’ve been away a lot so I’ve not met her since she became PM.

“I was appointed by David Cameron for my Government review, which I’ve now delivered.

“I’ve not met or spoken with David since he resigned. I was disappointed for him but he decided it was time to move on.”

Michelle was disappointed that the UK voted for Brexit.

She added: “I wanted to remain. But I don’t think we should have another EU referendum.

“The people made their decision and you can’t keep having a vote until you get the decision you want. That applies in Scotland as well.”

Whi le Britain goes through dramatic changes with Brexit , Michelle revealed she’s considering a personal transformation by going under the knife for plastic surgery.

She said: “It was my 45th birthday last week. It’s just another day where you’re unfortunately a year older.

“I’ve had Botox and maybe in 15 years’ time I might have to go and get myself a wee nip and tuck.

“I think if it makes you feel good, it’s no one else’s business.

“Luckily, I don’t need one just now.”
