Parking mad over ticket

I received a parking ticket at a retail park. It was issued in error – the attendant admitted that – as I was legally parked and did not overstay the time limit. He said he would cancel the ticket but I’m still being chased. How do I solve this? If the fine was issued by mistake and you have evidence, write to the parking firm demanding that they cancel the ticket. Include the badge number of the attendant and as much detail as possible. The retailer you shopped at should also take up the cudgels on your behalf.

But they were furious when displays were missing and others were not up to scratch.

Florist Michael McAnally promised to refund £ 535. But that was in September and they have yet to receive a penny.

Stuart, 29, said: “We’re fed up complainin­g. He keeps promising to refund our money. We want to warn others.”

Stuart and Gil l, a lso 29, married at Lochgreen House Hotel, Troon, on September 18.

They had signed up with McAnal ly, who trades as Designs by M, months earlier.

Stua r t , of Bi shopton, Renfrewshi­re, said: “Michael did not provide what we had ordered and we only realised this as we walked in to the ceremony. The plinths with arrangemen­ts for the ceremony were missing.

“There were no top-table vases or tea lights and no posies or candles at the base of the guests’ tables. We had ordered a cake topper with thistles, pink wax f lower and fuchsia foliage. Instead there were three roses stuck on top of the cake. The thank you bouquets had to be binned as, by the end of the day, they were withered and dying.”

Stuart and Gil l, a retai l manager, complained in writing two days after the wedding. He added: “Michael admitted things were not perfect and said he would forward a refund.”

But the couple returned from honeymoon and there was no sign of the cash. They contacted the florist again at the beginning of October but got no response.
