huge fan of Tony. At his first fight after Michael died, Tony wore a T-shirt in the ring saying ‘RIP Iron Mike’ which he donated to us.

“We’re keeping it for Michael’s son Rocco.

“He’s a good boy with a big heart. To be thinking about us at that time was really nice.

“But Haye has acted like an idiot. If he gets beat he’s kind of done, isn’t he?

“Chloe and me will be watching the fight at home and shouting for Tony.”

Chloe added: “I’ve heard some of the things Haye has said.

“But hopefully they will end up shaking hands.”

Mike died after he suffered severe bleeding to his brain following a stoppage in the fifth round of his bout with Evans at Glasgow’s Radisson Blu hotel.

It emerged that in the weeks leading up to the f ight he had suffered headaches which were so painful that he had to stop sparring.

He put the condition down to stress caused by the build-up to the fight.

The family revealed he had been sent away from Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital and told to see his GP when he asked for a brain scan.

Tracey and Chloe, 24, are raising £13,000 to buy a brain scanner for other fighters in his memory and are planning a skydive to boost funds.

They have set up a JustGiving page as they raise money to buy the equipment for boxers in Dundee and Stirling, where Mike trained.

Chloe, mum to Rocco, said the family hope it will be named the Iron Mike Towell Scanner.

Tracey added: “We’ve got nearly £ 2 0 0 0 a l ready and Chl oe and I are going to jump out of an aeroplane.

“We’re keeping ourselves busy with fundraising.”
