Leicester’s hopes of landing Roberto Mancini have been hit by AC Milan’s interest in the Italian gaffer.

The Premier League champions have identified the ex-Manchester City boss as the man to stop the rot at the King Power after the shock decision to sack Claudio Ranieri.

But whi le Mancini had been harbouring hopes of landing a job back in England, his head has now been turned by talk the Rossoneri want him to replace Vincenzo Montella in the summer. Chelsea are set to hijack AC Milan’s £21million bid for Villarreal centre-back Mateo Musacchio.

The Blues have asked for time to present their own proposal despite the 26-year-old being on the verge of a move to the San Siro.

It comes as Andreas Christense­n looks set to stay put at Stamford Bridge with the league leaders ready to reject a £13m summer bid from Borussia Monchengla­dbach.

The defender, 20, has been on loan at the Bundesliga club for two years but boss Antonio Conte wants him back in London. Everton boss Ronald Koeman is conf ident he’ll land Burnley central defender Michael Keane in the summer.

The Goodison Park gaf fer has accepted he is likely to miss out on Southampto­n star Virgi l van Dijk given interest from Manchester City and Chelsea.

But Koeman has put 24-year-old Keane – who Burnley boss Sean Dyche will demand £20m-plus for – at the top of his list of targets.

The Dutchman is also targeting Hull striker Abel Hernandez and intends to strike a deal that would see the Tigers pocket £10m plus Oumar Niasse, who is on loan at City. Juan Mata wants to f inish his Premier League career at Manchester United.

The 28-year-old midfielder has 18 months left on his deal and said: “I would like to stay beyond that.” Ma nches t er Ci t y face a battle to get Serge Aurier out of Paris St- Germain if they decide to step up their pursuit.

The 24-year- old full-back is among the players City have asked about for next season but Aurier is keen to stay with the Ligue 1 club.

His contract, which runs until June 2019, contains a £23m buyout clause with Barcelona also interested. Swansea are eyeing a move for Barnsley defender Andy Yiadom. The 25-year- old full- back has impressed after joining from Barnet last summer and has been called up to the Ghana squad this season.
