- Andrew McInnes

Celtic assistant manager Chris Davies is backing captain Scott Brown to be a top boss. Brown (right) is poised to lead the Hoops to their sixth consecutive league title and Davies said: “Scott will become a good manager. He’s intelligent, has leadership qualities and he knows

the game inside out. He’s still got plentyy of football left in him at 31 and he’ss been really good this year.

“We’re looking forward to the nextt few years of him performing on thee pitch but after that I think he will goo into management, and he will be veryy good if he does.

“Scott is a perfect example of a leaderr in the dressing room. Every single dayy he is at his maximum.

“He is one of the best trainers I’vee ever seen. He matches up to the world-class players I have worked with inn terms of mentality. He is well respected,d, the players follow that as well.

“Senior players are vital. We’vee got that, not just with Scott, but he e is the shining example.”

Davies believes that the incredibly y strong mentality in this Celtic team m comes from the very top. He added: : “Our leader Brendan Rodgers is some- one who demands a certain level from m himself. He demands that level from m his followers, the players and the staff. ff.

“He expects you to meet that, there- fore you become relentless.”

The Hoops head to Dundee today y but Aberdeen’s 2- 0 win over Hearts s yesterday means they can’t seal the e title. Davies added: “We shape our own n destiny and rely on ourselves. It’s a difficult away game for us.” FLETCH ON BROONY: P60&611
