Smart move to call me

Joan Sommervill­e’s new smart meter was supposed to save her time and energy.

Instead it wreaked havoc with the wireless alarm system in her house.

She called me in when ScottishPo­wer failed to cover the £178 cost of calling in three engineers to fix it.
