SARACENS v GLASGOW W

-

The Scotstoun flanker is convinced a semi-final place is theirs for the taking today when they meet the English champions at Allianz Park.

A clash against Europe’s best side and current trophy holders represents another milestone for Gregor Townsend’s men two years on from their Pro12 triumph.

And Harley is adamant they can take another step into uncharted territory after reaching the last eight of the competition for the first time earlier this year.

He said: “It would be huge for us if we can beat Saracens – it would be new ground in Europe.

“We have won the Pro12 Final and that’s right up there. But in terms of the new frontier for us it’s about Europe and what we can achieve there.

“When you analyse Saracens you see they are a very strong team. They have a lot of quality players and it’s a massive challenge to go down there but we believe we can go there as a squad and get a result.

“In terms of Europe, this is the first time we’ve reached the knockout stages. As a squad we have had big occasions – we’ve had finals and semi-finals.

“We have played and won big games in Europe for a couple of years now. We do have the mindset we can beat any team in Europe – it’s about going through the right processes and being accurate enough.”
