Rape claim leader flees

The v ice- president of Afghanistan, Abdul Rashid Dostum, has f led the country amid claims he ordered his men to kidnap, beat and rape a political rival last year.

He left Kabul for Turkey on Friday as the government launched an investigation.

The allegations against ex-warlord Dostum come from Ahmad Eshchi, a former ally.
