Well done, Gaga, for cheering my boys up

-

As part of a family of Motherwell fans, may I offer my sincere gratitude to Lady Gaga for coming out in support of the Steelmen in her choice of outfit last week.

Her claret and amber number might turn a few heads on the streets of Motherwell but I’m grateful for the sentiment.

It was bright relief in a dark time when the threat of relegation meant the menfolk in my household were trailing about with faces longer than the queue at the pie stand. Anxiety levels were soaring, the boys could barely eat, there was not another topic of conversation to be had. Yawn.

Anyway, now they are safe in the Premiership (apologies to those who are not), maybe I should ask Lady G if she’s finished with her team colours ensemble.

I could wear the Gaga gear to games next season. Or I could simply threaten to, unless they stop blooming well talking about football.
